Bike People of Indy Podcast - Ep. #10 - Ivy Cline

On this episode of the podcast, we caught up with longtime friend, artist, local rider, bicycle expert, and fellow OG BikeParty Indy organizer, Ivy Cline.

Ivy Cline is longtime resident of Broad Ripple and a familiar face in the Indianapolis cycling scene. Her active involvement in the community, her vast amount of riding experience, and her professional bike industry experience and technical know-how make her an undeniably powerful force in the local bike scene. You can find her at Bike Party and other local social rides with her longtime partner, and force of nature in his own right, Rob Cline.

At her core, Ivy is an artist. She is finishing her degree at Herron, and is looking forward to devoting more time to that calling in her future. In addition to sitting down for a chat Saturday morning, Ivy dropped off some of her beautiful “Life Bi(cycle)” wind chimes made from upcycled cogs to put up for sale at Bike People. This is just an example of her artistry and I regret we didn’t have more time to delve into that subject with her this time around.

We hope you enjoy this episode where we cover things like Ivy’s cycling beginnings, her work with SRAM, her experiences touring and riding, her experience being a female in a male-dominated sport, and her outlook on Indy’s growth as a cycling city.

Be well!

Matt
