Opening a Bike Shop, & My Heart, at Age 40

“How am I not supposed to talk about this” - Me last Sunday waking up.

They say to not speak aloud about your plans. I spoke aloud about opening a bike shop long before I should’ve. In fact, I was seemingly so far away from the possibility of opening a bike shop, it was only a dream to talk about. I’d often feel foolish after talking to people about wanting and planning to open a shop. Beyond having a few bike tools and a few neighbors who knew I fixed bikes, there was not much else to show that matched my ambition about the possibility.

That’s why now that I am here, having just opened my shop last weekend to literally hundreds of locals who came by to celebrate with me and show their support, I am here in absolute awe of the universe aligning for me and allowing this privilege to unfold in my recent life.
